BACOPA MONNIERI

The fresh juice (about 30 ml) from the whole planttaken at bedtime for 7 to 21 days acts as a mental tonic.

 

 

 

 

MORINGA OLEIFERA

Apply a paste of bark of drumstick (Moringa oleifera) 2-3 times on the inflammed teeth.  This reduces the Tooth ache associated with pain.

 

 

ECLIPTA PROSTRATA

Liver Tonic: Crush the whole plant and take 2 tsp of juice thrice a day with sugar or honey for 7 to 21 days.

 

 

 

 

 

PALSY DROPS

A compound tincture of lavender, known as “Palsy Drops” was officially recognized by the British Pharmacopoeia.  This preparation with over 30 ingredients was used to relieve muscle spasms, nervousness and headaches.  The lavender essential oil which has over 40 constituents acts as an antidepressant, pain killing and mild sedative. It stimulates blood flow.  During child birth, a poultice of the heated flowers wrapped in cheese cloth was traditionally placed on the back to relieve muscle and emotional tension. Lavender oil has antiseptic properties.  Lavender ointments are rubbed on bu r ns, bruises and other skin injuries.  The redness and itching due to insect bites are found to be reduced by the oil.

 

 

VETIVERIA ZIZANOIDES

Pain at the temples: Powder the roots and mix half tsp with water to make paste.  Apply externally over the temples as and when required.
